Hydroseeding (municipal)

Earthcraft Companies provided hydroseeding services for the City of Grove City, Ohio, quickly stabilizing and re-establishing grass on a vacant lot immediately following a residential demolition - completing the work on the city's timeline and to their specifications.

The Challenge

After a house was torn down, the cleared lot was left with bare, exposed soil that needed to be stabilized and seeded as quickly as possible. The City of Grove City required hydroseeding as part of the demolition project's completion criteria, meaning the work needed to be coordinated closely with the demolition timeline and finished promptly to meet municipal requirements.

What We Did

Earthcraft partnered with a local demolition company and the City of Grove City to sequence the hydroseeding work directly alongside the demolition. As soon as the structure was cleared, Earthcraft moved in immediately to hydroseed the lot - minimizing the window of time the soil sat bare and exposed. The fast turnaround between demolition and hydroseeding was critical to meeting city specifications and preventing erosion or sediment runoff from the unprotected site.

The Result

The project was completed on time and to the full specifications of the City of Grove City. Grass was established quickly on the vacant lot, the site was stabilized, and the demolition project was closed out cleanly. The coordination between Earthcraft, the demolition contractor, and the city kept the job on schedule from teardown to finished lot.
