Earthcraft Companies designed and installed an underground pipe drainage system for a homeowner in Hilliard, Ohio, eliminating persistent standing water that had been leaving large areas of the yard saturated for weeks after every rain.

The Challenge

A large portion of the property was holding water after rain events, with affected areas staying wet for weeks at a time. The standing water was making the yard unusable, creating the potential for long-term damage to the lawn and landscape. The homeowner needed a permanent drainage solution that would actually move water off the property rather than simply redirect it to another problem area.

What We Did

Earthcraft installed a system of buried drainage pipes spanning over 700 linear feet across the property. The network was designed to collect standing surface water and channel it efficiently off the property through a discharge point. Installing over 700 linear feet of underground pipe required careful planning to ensure proper slope, coverage, and long-term performance across the full drainage area.

The Result

Standing water no longer collects and sits for weeks after rain events. The underground pipe system continuously collects and discharges water off the property, keeping the yard drainable and usable season after season. The homeowner has a low-maintenance, permanent solution built to handle heavy rain without ongoing issues.
